Slow Your Aging - An Easy Proven Way to Slow Your Aging and Keep Looking Younger Longer
The fountain of youth is surreptitiously flowing in your blood stream. The one thing that disrupts its function in keeping you younger is a change in blood hydrogen ion concentration, known as blood pH. And, blood pH is heavily tired to what we eat and drink.
One of the single, most important things you can do for your body is to ensure that your blood pH stays normal. Normal blood pH is 7.4 - 7.5 on a scale from 1 - 14. The easiest way to do this is to plan to eat foods that keep blood pH normal. This single quest will keep you looking younger longer. And you will definitely be healthier and happier.
Blood pH is so important because it is an indication of how "disease free" you are. For instance the pH range of the spinal fluid and your saliva is all around this mid hydrogen ion concentration range of pH 7.4 - 7.5. The onset of most diseases starts with a change in blood pH. For instance long before you are diagnosed with osteoporosis or any disease tied to calcium, your saliva will be in the acidic range or below ph7. So what can you do about all this body chemistry talk? No you don't have to be a science major or even grasp the jargon of chemistry. It is all worked out in the natural gifts of nature. Some foods have acid properties (pH 7 or less) and some foods are alkaline at pH 7 or more. All you have to do is choose to eat appropriately.
If your mother ever coaxed you to eat your vegetables, she was being wise about food. And, hopefully you were acquiring your share of universal wisdom. Foods are either acid forming below pH 7 and or alkaline above pH 7. Eating fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts, yogurt and green teas among others will have an alkaline chemical impact while meat, sugar, grains, eggs, milk, butter, oils, coffee, chocolate, most grains and beans create blood acidity. Planning and eating a well balanced combination of these foods throughout the day will keep your blood and saliva in the neutral zone, around pH 7. When you focus on this one single health factor it ensures that you slow your aging and also enjoy terrific health.
Without this knowledge, you could be eating primarily from one end of the pH scale, and creating a dangerous imbalance in blood levels which can be destructive to every organ of your body. The impact of not eating healthy does not slow aging and can show up as organ diseases and chronic, painful, aging illnesses. If for example, for years you ate bacon and eggs, or white bread and cheese, or tortilla and beans with coffee and sugar for breakfast, at lunch you ate meat and white bread and at dinner a salad or veggie and a serving of meat all these acid forming foods with only the one alkaline salad or veggie could lead to chronic ill health. Since most chronic conditions are treated with drugs which can also increase acidity, you might be creating a downward spiral to premature aging and early death.
But let's not be so grim! Even this lackadaisical way of eating can be easily corrected with a serving of fresh grapefruit, mango or papaya and green tea at breakfast, an added veggie like squash, asparagus, zucchini or parsley pesto at lunch and another 2 servings of veggies like sweet potato and green beans at dinner.
If you make these simple, but consistent fresh food moves in your diet, you will be aiding and abetting your internal body wisdom and chemistry to slow your aging. You will also experience enormous satisfaction as you look and feel younger longer.
