Panic Attack - A New Way to Find the Best Cure Sold on the Internet
Panic attacks are very common, roughly 30% of Americans will experience one in any given year. Some people are fortunate to only ever experience one episode, and yet some go on to develop panic disorder. Around 2% of Americans are diagnosed with the condition. Many sufferers remain undiagnosed and look online for information to help them overcome this debilitating condition.
There are many programs sold over the internet which claim to cure panic attack, but how can a sufferer decide which programs are worth spending money on?
Online panic attack cures are known as informational products. When purchased the product comes in electronic format such as pdf, mp3, or access to video clips. Products such as these are typically sold with a long copy sales letter, which contains testimonials, bonus products, a long explanation of the features and benefits and an 8 week money back guarantee.
Some find this heavy sales pitch off putting. However, all the products are sold in this format. Dont be put off by this. The sales copy is no indication of the quality of the product!
There is a new way to determine the quality of the product that goes beyond the glowing endorsements of promoters. It does, however, require some research and calculation.
The companies that sell panic attack cures on the internet generally sell their products through online markets. The largest marketplace for information products is Clickbank. This has over 10,000 different information products for sale.
With a bit of detective work it is possible to work out which is the best selling product in its category on Clickbank. Clickbank gives products a gravity score which is an indication of product sales. It is also possible, with a little math, to work out the refund rate of a product. This gives a measure of its quality.
In the panic attack cure market there is one product that leads the rest of the market by a long way. Its called Panic Away and it has a gravity score of 89. The next closest product is called Easy Calm with a gravity of 4, and the rest are around 1 or 2.
In order to assess the quality we look at the refund rate. This is the percentage of the purchasers who asked for a refund within 8 weeks after purchase. Panic Away has a refund rate of around 8%. This means that 92% of people were satisfied with their purchase.
Looking at the rest of the panic attack cure products we have to be a little careful about interpreting the results of the refund rate. This is because when sales volumes are very low then just one refund can have a massive impact. For example, there is product called Curing Anxiety and Panic Attack. In June 2007 the refund rate was around 10%, however by July 2007 the refund rate was 80%.
In general the refund rates on the other products are in low single digits.
Panic Away is clearly the market leading product, but with a higher refund rate than competing products it has some flaws. I have personally used Panic Away and found it to be an excellent product, although I would agree it has some limitations.
