List Building, Start With a Squeeze Page
Lets presume youve found a niche subject you have researched, that you feel is a winner. There is a lot of interest in this topic and your niche is one that not many others are promoting.
Next, you will need a website. You can either have someone build it for you or purchase an online hosting service and build it yourself. I would recommend the latter. Because of the technological advancement of these hosting services, building your own website is not difficult. And I might add it is a lot less expensive.
Instead of trying to build a series of web pages to draw traffic via your content, you might want to build an opt in list. This you can do by building just your web site home page. Then design a squeeze page. The purpose of a squeeze page is simply to collect names and email addresses.
You can promote your squeeze page by writing articles. When you write an article for any of the various submission sites you can include your url at the bottom of the article. When visitors click on your link they will be re-directed to your squeeze page. From there they have two choices, sign up or opt out.
You might ask, why would they sign up? They will, if you offer them something free, of value. This item can be in the form of a free ecourse or ebook. Since you may not have authored your own online book(s) yet, you can give away others who offer private label rights ebooks, free.
If you do decide to build your own subscriber list, you will need an auto responder. This subject will be covered in a future article.
