List Building Some Advanced Thoughts on Building Your List
List building is an incredibly wonderful method of creating a long term income.
I am going to assume for the purpose of this article that you already have the basics of building a list down cold. If you do not, I have written plenty of articles on the topic and they can be found by searching my name and the word list building in the search feature of this article directory.
So what do I mean by advanced list building techniques?
First off, beginner list building techniques involve creating an optin page, gathering email addresses and names, and emailing the subscribers and creating a relationship with those subscribers.
Those are the basics creating the list.
Now, for me, the advanced techniques revolve around making money off of the list. What is a list worth if it has 10,000 names but no revenue?
So how do you increase revenue on your list?
One of the things for me is that you have to build a relationship first; they have to respect you, like you, and believe that you have something you can offer. To do that, you have to have incredible content your subscribers have to learn from you when they read your emails.
The next thing you have to do is to give them value and one of the ways I do that is by sending free gifts to my readers. This allows me to continue to grow that relationship with my readers.
The last thing I do that creates additional income for me is that I focus on creating backend opportunities where people can buy from me. Even when I send out free gifts, they often include a link to something that will make me money.
