List Building for Idiots - How to List Build From Scratch
List Building is fun but if you dont know what you are doing, it can be really frustrating. When I first started out list building, I really was an idiot- at least a list building idiot for sure.
One thing I knew, once I got my squeeze page up, was that I had to get traffic to my site. Well, that backfired at first. I did all the newbie things- bought crazy safelist, traffic exchange, guaranteed traffic, exit traffic, banner traffic, everything that I could get for cheap. And I found that it didnt really work.
So I tried Google Adsense. That was good, from a subscriber stand point I was picking up subscribers for about 50 cents apiece, which I thought was good because my average subscriber was bringing in about one dollar their first month. But after a month, I realized that the Adsense subscribers werent contributing to that at all, so I stopped that.
There are two things that have been incredible for my list I have around 2100 subscribers after just 4 months article marketing, and joint ventures with other list builders.
Now, the article marketing is just that I simply write articles just like this and submit them to article directories like the one you are reading this in. That is it the only thing is, the average article marketer submits around 10 articles in their lifetime and I have submitted over 500. So one of the keys here is massive action. But it works, and it is making me money.
The second thing is joint venture email swaps. The only thing is, you have to wait until you have around 2000 subscribers to be able to do this. But just email other list builders and ask them if they will swap mailings with you. You mail their offer to your list, and they mail your offer to their list. Pretty simple.
