List Building Basics - Basics of List Building in Internet Marketing III
A squeeze page is one designed specifically to secure an email address. A few people shy away from them when they recognize them, but they are more effective in getting the visitors details than a simple opt-in form. The squeeze page provides a compelling reason why the visitor should give you their email address. It should have a good headline that catches the attention, and address the visitor as an individual. People like being address personally.
The message should be clear and unambiguous, and the offer should be of real value. You should explain why the offer is so valuable to the reader, and how the form below will provide not only what is being offered, but also further information on a regular basis to keep them in touch with new developments in the field, or any future offers as they become available. If you sell foodstuffs or cookery equipment you could offer free recipes and a newsletter or email with the recipe of the month and cookery tip of the month. Give them the opportunity to take part by offering a prize for the readers tip of the month.
Anything like that will do. Something that adds value to your product like that is always popular. If you follow these basics of list building, you should be able to rapidly build a good list that will contain many of your future customers. Always keep in mind that customers needs on average seven to eight exposures to a product before they buy. Your list allows you to provide these.
