List Building - Advanced Thoughts on List Building
List building is one of the most lucrative ways to develop a long-term, consistent income online per year 2007 and probably for the next several years. List building, however, can exist at many different levels -- a beginner level, the intermediate level or the advanced level. For the intermediate or the beginner list builder, list building revolves around traffic, squeeze pages, and developing compelling opt in offers. List building for the begin are or intermediate list builder is simply the process of driving traffic to squeeze pages getting visitors top 10 in become subscribers and sending out e-mails, hoping to make some sales.
But the advanced list builder, he becomes intensely interested in conversion rates -- squeeze page conversion rates, download conversion rates, confirmation e-mail conversion rates, each individual e-mail open rate, each individual click through rate, and conversion rates on sales pages to which he send his subscribers.
The advanced list builder will run multiple e-mail campaigns, comparing and contrasting all of the above mentioned conversion rates dropping e-mails with low conversion rates improving e-mails with high conversion rates and constantly testing and tweaking his e-mail campaigns searches sales page conversion rates and his overall website conversion rates continue to rise. It is once been said, anything that is tracked improves, any advance list owner does that. The advanced list builder tracks everything that he does improves on it constantly, dropping the least productive campaigns, the least productive e-mails, the least productive squeeze pages, and constantly adding in new content, new squeeze pages, new e-mails, and new sales pages and sales page elements, for the purpose of improving his campaigns.
So my question to you is, are you beginner or intermediate list builder, who simply sending traffic to your squeeze pages, opting in subscribers, and sending out e-mails blindly? Or are you in advance list builder, who tasks and tracks relentlessly and constantly improves his campaigns?
