List Building 101 The First Steps to Building a List
List building is one of the critical tools you need online just to get by. You simply cannot just send traffic to a web page, not capture information, and make as much money in todays web market. You simply have to build an opt in email list which you can use to contact your visitors and send them repeatedly back to your sales until the either opt out or make a purchase.
So how do you do it? I am going to give you the basics steps of list building here. I have written many articles on each of the steps of list building, just type in Sean Mize+list building into the search box at http://www. and you will have immediate access to many articles that break each of the steps down. In this article, I simply want you to have an overview, a guide you can use to get started building your list.
So here are the steps to list building:
1) You have to get an autoresponder account with a reputable company. In the year 2007 and forward, you cannot do it on your own server, or your web hosts servers. Your emails just wont go through.
2) You have to have a squeeze page with your opt in code on it and put your opt in code on every other web page you have.
3) You must send traffic to your squeeze page. One of the easiest ways I have found to send quality traffic to my web site squeeze page is by writing articles just like this one.
