If You Want to Lead More You Need to …
If you want to be more of a leader, you should check those moments where you normally are much of a follower.
For instance. You are at a party and you are not really having fun, but you do not want to leave too early. You do not want to be the first to leave. Why not actually, if its not any fun, just go and do not wait for some other to go. Take the first step.
Or, you are at another party and you think that it might need some more action, and you are the first that starts to dance. Soon -- you hope -- others will follow.
You are reading an article and you think, \"he ... thats interesting,\" but then you see that there is no rating yet. Than you doubt, \"was this really interesting\", and you take your cursor and you mark a four or even a five \"excellent\". Or you come across some other article that you think is really in need of some improvement and again you see that there is no rating. You move your cursor again and lead the rating process; its a \"needs serious improvement,\" this time. You cannot have them all right...
Driving back home you think about that ritual at work that you think is very unproductive, but youve always thought, its not that important, and besides nobody really took any action. But tomorrow you will mention it.
And then, having addressed some of these issues you think again. I do not want to lead all the time. That costs a lot of energy. The next step is to choose those moments where you should lead, and others where you are better of following.
