The following skin types are separated into four categories, since most people can place themselves in one of the following classes of skin type
Dry Skin
For Daytime:
The best anti aging creams for dry skin should be oil-based, contain hyaluronic acid and preferably a sun screen. Hyaluronic acid binds moisture to the skin, thereby preventing moisture loss while exposed to daytime drying elements such as wind and sun.
For Night Time:
Dry skin benefits greatly from a moisturizer that is oil-based. Also, try to incorporate more essential fatty acids in your diet. These can be obtained by taking flaxseed
or fish oil supplements.

Most anti aging products today contain some amount of hyaluronic acid, just make sure the cream you choose is providing enough.
Oily Skin
At the risk of sounding obvious, if you have oily skin the last thing you need to put on your face is more oil. Therefore, any anti aging cream used on oily skin should be either water-based or oil-free. A common problem that accompanies oily skin is large pores. This can be treated using glycolic acid or AHA since they work to exfoliate the skin while refining the pores.
For Daytime:
A water-based moisturizer with oil-regulating properties such as tea tree oil, camphor or geranium.
For Night Time:
You can safely use any daytime anti-aging moisturizer at night.

Normal Skin
Since normal skin types are balanced, you can use most gently moisturized anti aging creams. There is no need to use the extreme qualities which apply to over oily or over dry skin.
For Daytime: Simple and basic anti-aging moisturizing lotion. Try to find one with a sun screen included.
For Night Time: Light anti-aging skin cream, preferably with nourishing qualities.

Sensitive Skin
There are many anti aging products now which take into consideration those with sensitive skin. These products are normally labelled as hypoallergenic or fragrance-free. Keep in mind that using a sun screen may not be part of the sensitive skin regime, so remember to be aware of sun exposure and take the appropriate alternative measures to sun screen, such as wearing a sun hat or carrying a parasol for shade.
For Daytime:
See above for skin types, but look out for alternative versions for sensitive skin which may include camomile or aloe vera to soothe the skin.
For Night Time:
See the night time suggestions for your skin type but again, look for the variation of soothing ingredients for sensitive skin.
