Death and Adjustment - The Hypothesis- Part - IX
As per the four fundamental ways of identifying truth described by Hamylton (1970) this pair, Does not end / Ends, of alternative criteria can be addressed more clearly. For the first theory, death is not an end for one is some belief that matches the reality, if we understand our basic criteria described in part VIII. So, rationally, death is an end for one gets discarded as a truth. For the second theory, not end criteria is internally consistent and logically non-contradictory while it is based on our basic criteria described in part VIII. For the third theory, the not end criteria is practically beneficial for one without any doubt as I demanded survival or existence and pleasure as the main purpose of our life. Finally, for the fourth theory, not end criteria is far more ahead than end criteria in believing and upholding by people. In fact with this theory the end criteria can not be abandoned either. In most of the cases of the end supporters believing or upholding is not the central concern which is central to the not end believers. I think the fourth theory, at least, fails to establish end as a truth for death of one.
Thus from the above discussion we can easily see that death is not an end for one is relatively true for the first three theories. But as this pair of two opposite information and death as a whole is confusing and inconclusive till now, according to the current development, successful use of the fourth theory will only be possible death has been cleanly, scientifically and universally defined and accepted by the majority. I think this is some task that is almost impossible till now. So I will leave the fourth theory behind and decide upon the results from the first three theories.
So in this part I will conclude that death is not an absolute end for a person. It is true that the argument I presented nothing but logical or rational establishment and no scientific procedure. But it is also true that where science has never gone before, rationality and logic leads us there. A very true example of such procedure can be anticipating the shape of earth before any men could see it from a useful distance with scientific procedures and apparatus.
