Daily Skin Tips for Anti-Aging

A well-known fact is that growing older is not an option. Our body's organs begin to slow and function less efficiently overtime. We all know living healthy includes a proper diet and exercise and that all of this work helps to maintain our body's strength and vitality. But a surprising reality is that the largest organ of the body, our skin, is often neglected when it comes to preventing premature aging.
Practicing preventative skin care maintains and improves skin's vitality, protecting it from premature aging. And the best part is that anti-aging skin care doesn't have to be complicated; in fact it shouldn't be. Adopting a few daily skin care steps will actually diminish the appearance of existing sun damage and wrinkles, while slowing down the onset of future skin aging.
Prepare and Protect: The morning is for getting skin ready to face the outside world. Your first step should be, prep and cleanse your face and neck with a gentle facial wash such as a cleanser. Pat dry, do not wipe or rub the face. Apply a hydrating moisturize, ideally one with antioxidants, to the face and neck. Then finish with protection, by applying daily sunscreen. Your suncscreen should have an SPF of 15 or higher. It is important that all three steps are performed daily before applying make-up.
Refresh: The evening is for renewal. When you get home, remove makeup and "daily dust" caused by everyday environmental exposure with a gentle facial cleanser. In the evenings, treat your skin by spending one full minute massaging cleanser into skin for a thorough cleaning. Rinse and pat dry.
Recharge: In order to keep skin functioning and looking more youthful, it is critical to provide the skin cycle a nightly energy boost by applying an "active" treatment to increase the cellular turnover rate. Accelerating skin cell turnover then stimulates the production of collagen. The results are diminished wrinkles, improved firmness, more even color/tone to the skin, and a healthy youthful glow.
Topical "active" treatments include ingredients, which physically cause skin to react to the treatment such as Vitamin A acids (Tazarotene, Tretinoin or Retin -A, Adapelene), Vitamin C and Alpha Hydroxy Acids. Just a note of caution, certain percentages and ingredients are not recommended for sensitive skin with a natural tendency of redness/irritation. Restore: The finishing touch is to apply a basic hydrating moisturizer to help sooth and replenish subtleness to your skin.
